Advisor to the Chief Minister, Abu Metha, visited St. Joseph Pain & Palliative Care Trust, Chümoukedima, on 1st November 2026. The Centre, run by the Medical Sisters of St. Joseph under the Catholic Diocese of Kohima, provides compassionate care and support to patients with serious and life-limiting illnesses.
During his visit, Abu Metha interacted with the sisters and staff, expressing his appreciation for their dedication and selfless service. He shared that he was deeply touched by the sacrifices made by the sisters and commended the humanitarian work being carried out at the Centre. He also encouraged everyone to work together in promoting and strengthening palliative care services in society.
