Advisor to Chief Minister and Chairman IDAN, Abu Metha appointed Ambassador of St. Joseph Palliative Care Nagaland on 23 November 2023. Mr. Metha acknowledged the privilege and honour of undertaking this role. He emphasized the significance of the challenge ahead and thanked the Catholic Community for entrusting him with this responsibility. Metha called for collective efforts in serving the community, fostering an environment of generosity and charity. It is to be noted that St Joseph Palliative Care Centre in Chümoukedima district was inaugurated by CM Neiphiu Rio on April 24, 2022 and it is the only centre in the state dedicated to patient care of the elderly, the poor and the homeless
