Where There Is No Cure, There Is Still Care: Inside Dimapur’s Palliative Haven

At St. Joseph’s Pain and Palliative Care Centre in Dimapur, healing is measured not only by recovery, but by compassion, dignity and hope. Operating under a unique ‘no bill’ policy, the centre provides free or affordable care to terminally ill patients, stroke survivors, the elderly and those abandoned by circumstance.

In this special report, patients and their families share emotional testimonies of how the Catholic Diocese of Kohima-run centre transformed their lives through medical care, prayer and unconditional support. Director Rev. Fr. Chacko also explains why Nagaland urgently needs greater awareness and policy support for palliative care as chronic illnesses and accidents continue to rise.

Watch to hear inspiring stories of faith, resilience and humanity from a place where, as they say, “There is a limit to cure, but there is no limit to care.”
